The 3 Main Principles of Working with Subtle Energies

THE 3 PRINCIPLES OF WORKING WITH SUBTLE ENERGIES

There are 3 main principles to keep in mind when working with subtle energies, both of the body, and with subtle energies in general. They are:

THE MIND

#1) The subtle energies of the body are responsive to the directives of the conscious and subconscious mind.

To put it simply, this means our intent. Great ways to focus or direct our mind, or intent, are visualization and meditation.

Our mind is always moving and working, which means that it is always directing (or reacting to) the subtle energies around us and of our body to some degree—whether great or small, whether by default or deliberately. It is also important to understand that both the conscious and subconscious mind work together in how our intent manifests. When the conscious mind and subconscious mind are congruent with each other, this is when the greatest power in our intent can be demonstrated. But when the conscious and subconscious mind are not in harmony, this can potentially be a significant hindrance to manifesting our intent. This highlights the importance of clearing our issues, releasing trapped emotions, having a clear mindset, etc., and being intentional in all that we do. The most important thing to remember is that the mind is the single most powerful director of subtle energies, and hence, of the outcome of our actions and our lives!

PHYSICAL ACTION

#2) Subtle energies are responsive to physical action.

Our physical bodies have an inherent subtle energetic component that is part of them. When the physical body is stimulated in whatever way, the subtle energies of the body are also stimulated. Things like running, jumping, playing, etc., all move our body’s subtle energies in (usually) good ways. Even the action of physically moving to another room or location will change the state and flow of our subtle energies to some degree great or small.

Our presence in a space will also change the subtle energies of that space, and so will the physical (and mental) actions that we do there. Furthermore, for things like energy work, simply placing a hand over an area of the body (whether our own or someone else’s) will change how the subtle energies of the body are working to some degree, especially in that area. Actions as simple as putting a hand on someone’s shoulder will do this, and can potentially have great impact on the person. But when we couple our intent with physical action, this can also be a very powerful way to move subtle energies in all applicable ways—and not just of the physical body! Some examples of physical action that will move energies (especially with the added conscious intent of the mind) include things like body work of whatever kind (like massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic, etc., etc.), hands-on energy work (or even in hands-off energy work like how many people practice Reiki), creating things (anything… from crafts to skyscrapers), and the list goes on and on and on!

TIME & DISTANCE

#3) Subtle energies are not bound by time or distance.

When we say that subtle energies are not bound by time, this doesn’t mean that we can change the past. The past is what it is! But what it means is that we can change how the subtle energies of the past are impacting us now, and in the future. As one example, we can release and clear trapped emotions from situations or traumas of the past that have adversely affected our body, mind, soul, etc. When we do this, we positively change how all applicable and affected subtle energies move and flow within us, both now and going forward.

We can also instruct the subtle energies of the future to be a certain way. Because our mind is always working, consciously and subconsciously (alright, except when we are sleeping – then it’s just subconscious), we are always directing the subtle energies within us, around us, and of the future, to some degree great or small. Fears of upcoming events or situations place the energy of fear in that event when it comes, and confidence places the energy of confidence, etc. That’s why ceaselessly worrying about something isn’t really a good thing, whereas imagining a positive outcome can be! But when we use visualization or meditation we can intensify the subtle energies we place in present or future events. Then, depending on our effectiveness in the visualization or meditation, that energy will manifest itself to whatever degree when the event arrives! (And as a side note, the mental action of visualization and meditation can also place subtle energies in physical objects and other things too!)

Distance is also no issue in working with subtle energies. In a general sense, whether across one inch, or a million miles or more, there is no bound that subtle energetic connections cannot cross. For example, have you ever had an experience where you were thinking about someone, and then a short time later that person called you. Or perhaps someone you know or love was on your mind, and then when you called them you found out that something significant had happened in their life.

As another example, many subtle energetic practitioners of various kinds practice some form of distance work. This might be working with someone over the phone, using a picture or another person as proxy, or other methods. Like anything, there are obviously many factors that play into the outcome of these interactions. But the fact that so many practitioners and clients get satisfaction and results from these remote sessions perfectly shows that subtle energies are not bound by distance! And as with physical action, when the mind is consciously engaged, this can increase the power and effectiveness of subtle energetic distance connections!
